Shipping policy
Last updated: 21 August 2026
1. Where we ship from
Every order is filled, numbered, packed and dispatched by hand from our atelier in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
2. Dispatch times
Dispatch time is the time we need to prepare your order. It is separate from the transit time the courier needs to deliver it.
If an order will be delayed beyond these windows, we contact you directly rather than leaving you to wonder.
3. Sultanate of Oman
Domestic orders are delivered by our local courier partner. The rate is shown at checkout.
Indicative transit: 1–3 business days
4. International shipping and our carriers
International orders travel by tracked express courier — normally DHL Express, Aramex or FedEx, and occasionally another reputable carrier where the destination requires it.
We choose the carrier for each shipment based on the destination, the service available on the day, and the routing most likely to get glass there intact. All of them are approved to carry declared fragrance, and every parcel is tracked end to end.
If you have a preference, tell us before dispatch and we will use it where that service exists.
5. How shipping is calculated
Our rates are zone-based under our commercial contracts with the carriers. The rate is determined by the destination zone and the chargeable weight of the parcel, and is calculated automatically at checkout — you see the exact cost before you pay.
6. Why we ship only by declared express courier
Perfume extrait is an alcohol-based flammable liquid, classified for transport as UN 1266 (Perfumery Products), Class 3, and carried in retail quantities under the ID 8000 Consumer Commodity provisions.
This has three practical consequences:
Within the Gulf we may move parcels by declared road freight rather than by air. This is fully lawful, often gentler on glass, and avoids the pressure changes of an aircraft hold. Transit times are similar.
Every parcel is packed with absorbent material and inner containment so that a breakage cannot leak into the shipment, and is labelled and documented as the regulations require.
7. Destinations we cannot serve
Some countries prohibit or heavily restrict the import of alcohol-based fragrance, and carrier coverage for declared dangerous goods varies by destination and can change without notice.
If we discover that we cannot lawfully ship to your address after you have ordered, we will contact you and refund you in full within 2 business days. We will never attempt to ship an undeclared or misdeclared parcel to get around a restriction.
8. Duties, taxes and customs clearance
Our prices and shipping rates do not include destination customs duties, import VAT or sales tax, or brokerage and clearance fees.
If you are ordering into a country you are unfamiliar with, please check the local position on importing perfume before you buy.
9. Addresses, PO boxes and phone numbers
Our carriers require a physical street address and a reachable mobile number for every shipment. We cannot deliver to a PO box alone.
10. Tracking
You receive a tracking number by email as soon as your parcel is collected, together with the name of the carrier handling it. Allow up to 24 hours for the first scan to appear — a number that shows no movement on the first evening is normal, not a problem.
11. Delays outside our control
Once a parcel is with the courier, transit is out of our hands. Customs inspection, dangerous-goods screening, weather, public holidays and seasonal backlogs can all add days. We will chase any shipment on your behalf and keep you informed, but we cannot guarantee a delivery date.
12. Split shipments
Where an order combines in-stock items with a pre-order, or exceeds the permitted quantity for a single parcel, we may ship in more than one consignment at no additional cost to you. Tell us if you would rather we held everything and shipped together.
13. Lost, delayed or damaged parcels
These are covered in our Refunds, Returns & Exchangespolicy. In short: report damage within 48 hours with photographs including the courier label, and contact us if tracking has stalled for 7 business days within the GCC or 14 business days internationally.
14. Gift orders
We never include prices or invoices inside the parcel. Please note that customs documentation must declare the true value of the goods, and that documentation travels on the outside of the shipment — so a gift sent internationally cannot have its value concealed from the recipient.
