Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of lumosperfumes.com and anything you buy from us. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read Using fragrance safely in particular — it matters more than the rest.

Who we are

LUMOS Artisanal House is a trading name of Boshar Pioneers SPC, C.R. No. 1540214, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

Buying from us

● You must be 18 or over to order.
● Prices are in Omani Rials unless the store displays another currency.
● Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation — not when you pay.
● We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch and refund you in full: if the item has sold out, if there was a pricing or description error, if we cannot lawfully ship to your destination, or if we suspect fraud. We will always tell you why.

Our fragrances are made by hand

Every batch is blended, macerated and filled in small quantities using natural materials. That means:

● Colour can vary slightly between batches and can deepen over time. This is normal for naturals and is not a fault.
● The scent can continue to develop in the bottle over the first weeks, and can behave differently on different skin.
● Fill levels can vary very slightly by eye — never below the stated volume.

None of this affects your rights if a product is genuinely defective.

Limited editions and bottle numbers

● Bottle numbers are allocated by us in order of dispatch. We cannot reserve a specific number.
● Once an edition sells out it is closed. We will not reissue it as the same edition.
● We keep a register of which number went to which buyer so that authenticity can be verified later. See our Privacy Policy.

Pre-orders

The estimated dispatch window is shown on the product page, and payment is taken at checkout. If that window slips materially we will tell you, and you may cancel for a full refund.

Payment

Payments are processed by Paymob. We never see or store your card number. If a payment is reversed or charged back after dispatch, we may pause future orders while we resolve it with you.

Shipping, returns and refunds

These are covered in full in our Shipping Policy and our Refunds, Returns & Exchanges policy, both of which form part of these terms.

Nothing in these terms removes the rights you have under the Omani Consumer Protection Law (Royal Decree 66/2014).

Using fragrance safely

Perfume extrait is a concentrated, alcohol-based product. Please:

● Patch test on a small area of skin before wearing it fully, particularly if your skin is sensitive. 
● Stop using it if irritation appears, and see a doctor if it persists.
● Keep it away from the eyes, broken skin and children.
● Do not swallow it, and do not use it on animals.
● It is flammable. Keep it away from flame and heat, and store it upright, closed and out of direct sunlight.
● Some natural materials, including citrus, can increase the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight. Take care when applying to skin that will be exposed to strong sun.

We declare allergens where required, but we cannot know your individual sensitivities. If you have a known allergy, ask us before buying, and speak to a doctor if you are unsure.

Our brand and our work

The LUMOS name, logo, bottle and label design, photography, written content and formulations belong to us and are protected.

You are welcome to share our images on social media with credit. You may not use them commercially, copy our packaging or labels, or attempt to reproduce or reverse-engineer our formulations.

Reselling

You may of course resell a bottle you own. You may notpresent yourself as an authorised LUMOS stockist, refill, decant, dilute or rebottle our fragrance and sell it under our name, or sell it in a way that suggests we supplied or endorsed it. We act on counterfeits.

Reviews and anything you send us

If you post a review or send us photographs, you confirm the content is your own and give us permission to show it on our store and social channels with credit. We may remove anything abusive, false or unlawful.

What we are responsible for

We stand behind our products and we will put things right when we get them wrong.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability in respect of any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Omani law — including your statutory rights as a consumer.

The site itself

We work to keep the store accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Descriptions and images are as accurate as we can make them rather than perfect, and screen colours vary between devices.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time you order is the version that applies to that order.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and the courts of Muscat have jurisdiction.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most things are settled with a message.
